ACCRA
Well, we are here, and , like any good North American Tourist, have managed to get out shopping, the best known cure for jet-lag...Jan has purchased her drum, a priority:) and we have navigated the artisan markets and of course, found all kinds of beautiful things, but not enough space to carry them. Tomorrow we will be going to Elmina Castle ( history of the Slave trade) and then from there to Kakum park and suspension bridge (nursing students will be familiar with this route). Then our final day in Accra is going to be on the beach before we head up to the north and begin the real work of Project GROW. We already have the volunteers shopping for our goats and donkeys, and ordering the mosquio nets so things are happening there. Actually, the whole mosquito net thing takes on a reality when we saw them buzzing around us this evening!

Sounds great Cindy. Enjoy Elmina...we didn't get to go to that castle. I hear it is very authentic and tells a similar but slightly different story than the one we went too. Prepare yourself for tears! Glad you got some shopping in. :) James and the baskets are waiting for your visit! :) you can do an afternoon trip to the village it is not very far from Bolga.
